The State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania,  in cooperation with the European Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office, fully digitized national patent, trademark and design documents.

During the implementation of the cooperation project with the European Patent Office, digitization of patents No. 3001-5241 of the year 1993-2005, previously available only in non-searchable PDF format, was carried out. Respective searchable data is already available on the database of national patents and the “Espacenet”. Accessibility to searchable data will make it easier to find relevant information about the aforementioned inventions.

In the framework of the SPB cooperation project with the EU Intellectual Property Office, the documents of valid national trademarks and designs as well as the 10-years’ archive of these documents were digitized in the middle of this year. Digitized information will be used to improve efficiency of the activities of the SPB and to migrate to paperless internal process of registration of trademarks and designs.
