15 July (Geneva). Deputy Head of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Lithuania in Geneva Mr. Arūnas Jievaltas made a statement on behalf of the Lithuanian delegation at the 63rd session of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (hereinafter - WIPO).

On 7 April, 2022 the State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania (SPB) has successfully completed the integration of its trade mark and design register data systems with the intellectual property register in the Blockchain network.

Despite the growing scale of counterfeiting and increasing seizure of fake goods, a social experiment commissioned by the State Patent Bureau revealed that most Lithuanians do not consider buying counterfeit products if they are clearly aware it is a forgery.
